clarrify is w/m is monk or mesmer
for w/r, i found that am amazing survival skill is melandrus resileice, as in pvp you know that necros, mesmers, and rangers love to stack conditoins and hexes
also, with the wilderness survival you can use troll unguent of dryders defenses which is a cheap, but effective evading skill
apply poison also never hurt anybody :P

Anyways. It depends on what you want to do. You want to deal more damage? Stay alive longer? Use conditions? Or what? Each build has its own use and its up to you to what you are comfortable with.
If you plan on going with Warrior/Ranger, apply poison and troll unguent, of course, can become useful if you know when to use it. If you stack apply poison with bleeding, means more of a health degen, obviously. Or you can use deep wound and apply poison. Either way works. You can stick with the easy sever artery, or just use deadly riposte. I suggest bringing savage slash, galrath slash, and final thrust. As for axe, executioner's strike and cleave can work really well. Dismember can help you. Hell, bring disrupting blow for casters.
For warrior/monk? I like to bring Balthazar's Aura, only because I have gladiator's armor. Symbol of wrath takes too long to charge up. Healing breeze, I feel, can be a life saver. Healing Hands is what I bring too, but it's up to you.
Bringing Bonetti's defense is a great way to protect yourself while gaining energy back, assuming you will be going against other warriors as well.
Hopefully these tips helped out.
BTW, IWAY only sucks if you don't know what you are doing, or you are going against builds that WILL counter it. Every build is counterable.

^^^^^ Just posted a few.
Maybe I'll make it simple.
Sword and a W/R:
Deadly Riposte, Savage Slash, Galrath Slash, Final Thrust, Apply poison, Troll unguent, Bonetti's Defense, Ressurection Signet.
Axe:
Disrupting Blow, Deep Wound, Executioner's Strike, Cleave, Apply Poison, Troll unguent, Bonetti's defense, Ressurection Signet.
